Through its eleven-year run from 1972 through 1983, M*A*S*H was one of the highest-rated television shows in history. Bachmann licensed the M*A*S*H name from 20th Century-Fox for this train set that debuts in the 1983 catalog. The set featured an camouflage painted consist with each piece carrying the M*A*S*H name. At the point was an F9-A followed by a 41′ Box Car; 42′ Gondola; 51′ Flat with 2 Trailers; and a 51′ Floodlight Car. Unique to the set was a collection of 10 full color printed Compound Structures; a helicopter with helipad; Jeep; water tank; 48 figures; mountain paper; a 45×36″ oval track plan; power pack; and instructions.
