AHM’s 41-foot High-Cube Boxcar was manufactured in Taiwan. The car’s tooling resembles the Kader-made example sold under the Bachmann name and Lionel-HO in the 1970s. The first HO-scale example in plastic model form for this car was offered by Athearn. A similar smooth-side plug door 40-foot High-Cube Boxcar was offered by TYCO beginning in 1978. Examples examined of AHM’s 41-foot High-Cube Boxcar include only road name information for the model contained in the box, unlike many other AHM releases that feature a full roster of road names with their various stock numbers included on the package.
