Mantua’s Conrail “Quality” Blue Ribbon

Mantua introduced six train sets in 1994 catalog. The boxed set releases provided a motive power selection and rolling stock only. No track and no power pack came with this series of offerings.

Mantua’s Conrail “Quality” Blue Ribbon (No. 941-414) came with a GP20 diesel locomotive wearing the railroad’s blue scheme with “Quality” markings. A RailGon 40-foot gondola, New York Central 40-foot steel boxcar with “Early Bird Service” logo, green Pittsburgh & Lake Erie two-bay hopper with coal load, and blue Conrail caboose completed the set. The dealer cost was $37 for this set in 1994.
