Mantua introduced six train sets in 1994 catalog. The boxed set releases provided a motive power selection and rolling stock only. No track and no power pack came with this series of offerings.

Mantua’s The Junction Special (No. 945-346) presented Old-Time freight cars and 1890-series passenger cars with a Rogers 4-6-0 and tender. The steam locomotive and the two passenger cars (combine and coach) came lettered for Denver, South Park & Pacific. The set’s freight cars included a yellow Union Pacific water car and Western & Atlantic boxcar. Dealer cost was $113.66 for this release.
