Mantua introduced six train sets in 1994 catalog. The boxed set releases provided a motive power selection and rolling stock only. No track and no power pack came with this series of offerings.
The Santa Fe Diesel Workhorse (No. 942-414) shared the same mix of models that came in Mantua’s Conrail “Quality” Blue Ribbon set, also released in 1994. The set included a GP20 diesel locomotive in red, yellow, and black “SPSF” livery with “SF” lettering. A RailGon 40-foot gondola, Pittsburgh & Lake Erie 40-foot steel boxcar, brown Pennsylvania Power & Like two-bay hopper with coal load, and red Santa FE caboose completed the set. The dealer cost was $37 for this set in 1994.
